To our members and convention attendees,

As many of you know, a survey was sent out earlier this year asking members if they would prefer a joint MAVT/MVMA convention.  The results were split almost evenly for keeping our own convention versus a combined one.

With the advent of COVID-19 and the need to host a digital platform in 2021, we saw it as an opportunity to trial a combined convention.  MVMA has agreed to run one MAVT technician track alongside their others.  Our convention committee chair, Jessica Towley, worked to recruit speakers and topics for this track, so it is very reflective of previous MAVT convention content.

We realize that this represents a departure from the norm and would appreciate your feedback in the post-convention survey.

The annual MAVT business meeting will be held on Zoom, and you can sign up for that here, on our website.  You must pre-register and there is no fee to attend.

You can sign up for the combined convention on MVMA’s website, at

Thank you, technicians, for all that you do every day!

Sincerely, MAVT board and committee members
