2025 Annual Conference: Registration Now Open!

October 29, 2024

Dear MAVT members:

As the MAVT Board of Directors shared with you earlier this month, the MAVT convention is merging with the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association's (MVMA) annual conference in 2025 that is taking place at the Hilton Minneapolis from Wednesday, January 29, through Saturday, February 1, 2025.

A single annual conference—which includes a technician track planned in partnership with MAVT—will offer an experience that is inclusive of all veterinary professionals. In particular, it will give veterinary technicians access to a broader pool of sessions and activities.

One-day, two-day, and three-day registration is available. Wednesday workshops are add-ons and available with registration.

Early-bird pricing is available through Monday, December 16, 2024.

MAVT members who are members at the time of the convention will receive a 15% discount on registration! Be sure to watch for your discount code during the registration process.

* To take advantage of this discount, you must be a paid MAVT member when the convention takes place on January 29.

We encourage you to log into your MAVT membership account and be sure that you will be up to date on your MAVT dues (at the time of the convention).

There is a block of rooms reserved at the Hilton in downtown Minneapolis; discounted rates with complimentary parking are available until January 10, 2025. Reserve online now!

Rates, schedule, speaker information, hotel accommodations, and more are available on the 2025 Annual Conference website

Dear MAVT Members,

Over the past several months, the MAVT Board of Directors has carefully considered the future of our annual convention. We are pleased to announce an exciting new direction for 2025: MAVT has joined forces with the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association (MVMA) for a combined event. This partnership brings several key benefits:

  • This initiative aims to create a path toward financial sustainability for MAVT and foster a stronger relationship with MVMA.
  • Members will no longer have to choose whether to register for the MAVT or the MVMA convention and can now get the benefits of both all in one!
  • Opportunities for member involvement and volunteer contributions remain strong. MAVT will be working on the speakers for the veterinary technician track.
  • MAVT will continue to host our Annual Business Lunch on Saturday at the convention, with support from MVMA.
  • Moving forward with this model reduces our overall volunteer workload and cost to MAVT, and co-branding the conference will maintain our MAVT identity.
  • We will remain deeply engaged with our members throughout this collaborative effort.
  • Additionally, all MAVT members (at the time of convention) will receive a 15% discount on the conference registration fee.

Now, we are thrilled to invite you to the 2025 Annual Conference, hosted by the MVMA and supported by MAVT, from January 29 to February 1, 2025, at the Hilton in downtown Minneapolis. This event will bring together veterinarians, veterinary students, veterinary technicians, assistants, practice managers, and all other veterinary professionals.

Registration for the 2025 Annual Conference will open in mid-October, and MAVT members will be notified via email from the MVMA when registration opens. The conference website, which will be updated and fully live once registration opens, can be found here and MAVT will post links on the website: https://conf.mvma.org/.

Sincerely,
The MAVT Board of Directors
