What are the different types of membership?

Active Members - Persons who are certified, licensed, or registered as a Veterinary Technician. Active Members have voting privileges and are eligible to hold office and serve on committees. Yearly dues $40. 

Student Members - Persons who are enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology program. Student Members are not eligible to vote in association affairs but may serve on committees. Yearly dues $20.

Associate Members - Persons not described in the Active or Student Membership categories, including veterinarians, office personnel, clinic staff, and all other persons directly related to veterinary technology and who are interested in supporting and promoting the Minnesota Association of Veterinary Technicians. Associate Members are not eligible to serve as officers and cannot vote in association affairs. Associate Members may serve on committees. Yearly dues $40. 

Lifetime Members - Persons who have been an Active Member of MAVT for thirty (30) consecutive years.  For a person to qualify for Lifetime Membership status, they must be approved by the MAVT Board of Directors.
