Vet Tech of Year 2025 Nomination Form Thank you for taking the time to nominate an amazing Certified Veterinary Technician! If the person you are nominating is not currently an active MAVT member, please make sure they join. Nominations for non-active members will not be considered. Nominations will be accepted until December 12th, 2025. 2024 Vet Tech of the Year Winner: Paul Weinland, CVT Paul Weinand is an outstanding candidate for Technician of the Year. Over the years, he has consistently demonstrated exceptional technical skill, patient care, and a deep commitment to teaching. Paul is known for his calm and reassuring presence, improving even the most difficult situations simply by walking into the room. He goes above and beyond to support students, new technicians, and doctors—taking time to explain procedures, discuss disease processes, and share helpful resources, all without seeking recognition. His dedication to teaching has earned him the Technician Teaching Award at the University of Minnesota two years in a row. Paul’s clinical skills are equally impressive, particularly his ability to manage critical patients like sick crias and foals, always ensuring the highest standard of care. He is the kind of technician others look up to and strive to emulate, making him a truly deserving recipient of this honor.Past Winners:
